How to transfer your medical records
How can I transfer my medical records to a RARMS practice?
Please contact your local RARMS medical practice directly, they will assist you in transferring your medical records.

How can I transfer my medical records to another practice?
If you have found a new medical practice, you can ask your new medical practitioner to request your medical records from RARMS Health. On receipt of your signed request, your medical records will be sent securely to your new practitioner.
Requests should be sent to transfers@rarms.org.au.

How long do I have to transfer my medical records?
In the care that a practice closes, the Health Records and Information Privacy Act (2002), RARMS are required to retain health information for 7 years from the last occasion on which a health service was provided. In the case of children, RARMS are required to retain health information until the child has turned 25 years old.

For Gilgandra and Warren Medical Centres - all records will automatically be transferred to The Royal Flying Doctors Service on the 12th December 2022. Please contact them directly after this date.
