Bingara.

Bingara is nestled in the Gwydir River valley on the western edge of the New England Tablelands. It is in the geographic region known as the North West Slopes.

Bingara is central within the Region, surrounded by larger towns, Inverell, Armidale, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Narrabri and Moree, and nearly midway between the major east coast capitals, Brisbane and Sydney.

Excellent schooling opportunities

Living in Bingara provides doctors and health professionals with access to world-leading NSW public school education system at Bingara Central School which caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

There is also the option of sending their children to board during the week or for the term at the prestigious New England Girls School, Presbyterian Ladies College or The Armidale School in nearby Armidale, or Calrossy Anglican School or Farrer Agricultural College in Tamworth providing a pathway to some of the world's leading universities located in Australia.

A growing town

Bingara’s current population is around 1300. Today Bingara is at the dawn of another exciting period. Tourism, education, regional conferencing and a move towards regenerative agriculture have seen the town become busier, and visionary.

Get outdoors

From bushwalking and birdwatching to fishing and fossicking, Bingara is a popular place for outdoor adventure, set in a valley on the banks of the Gwydir River. This historic gold and diamond mining town is also home to one of Australia’s most important indigenous memorials.

Easy access to metro areas

Located just an hour by car from two airports at Inverell and Narrabri, there are regular flights to the major cities of Sydney and Brisbane just on your doorstep. Jump on a flight and you are in two of Australia's most cosmopolitan and diverse cities in no time.

Or maybe you want to spend a week at the beach?  Bingara has that covered too!  A scenic drive east and you will be at some of Australia's most pristine and premier beach locations including Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

In Bingara your dollar goes a lot further, giving you greater flexibility to continue your education, send your children to the top schools and universities, and take regular holidays.

Bingara a high demand market for health and medical services. This means that doctors can earn as much, if not more, income compared to highly competitive and over-supplied city locations.

But it is a low-cost market for housing, with the median price around $232,000 compared to a median price in Sydney of $1.2 million.  This grand house (opposite) sold for just $375K in April 2019.  Highly paid doctors have the option to live in some of the most prestigious housing in town at an affordable price.
